Reporting to the Global Head of Partnerships, our Business Development Lead for North America will be a target-driven, bright and highly motivated colleague with strong commercial acumen and experience of developing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships. This is an exciting role suiting someone who is looking to build upon strong business development a genuine passion for sustainability and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate the company vision and value proposition to reduce carbon emissions in global supply chains by improving the performance of suppliers at scale
  • Contribute to sales targets and KPIs, including pipeline management, by growing business in the North American region.
  • Support the Heads of Industry Vertical by prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing deals with new supply chain owner customers.
  • Build trust-based relationships with key individuals (Sustainability, Procurement, CSR, EHS, Supply Chain) within chosen market verticals via a target account list (TAL)
  • Produce sales presentations, plans and proposals
  • Accurately record all client contact within our CRM system
  • Work closely with the marketing team to drive brand awareness and generate new leads and enquiries

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Highly motivated by our mission to tackle climate change by reducing environmental impacts and a genuine passion for the subject
  • Proven experience of building strong partnerships and selling products or consultancy into global corporations
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully networking with businesses both physically and virtually
  • Experience representing an organisation in prospect/client meetings - able to win respect and build rapport quickly
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills
  • Fluency in English is a must, additional languages will be a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, CRM systems

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience working in a sales, or partnership building role
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability and GHG emissions reduction
  • Network of existing contacts within sustainability and/or procurement
  • Experience working with, or selling cloud-based software or data-related products
  • A bachelors degree in a relevant subject

Job summary:

Location: Remote – United States

Salary: $60-$80k dependent on experience + variable OTE

Tenure: Full time, permanent
